Features

Enough to understand yourself, not so much that you give up

Logging, widgets, mascots, friends, reminders and iCloud backup are free — and stay free. The items marked Plus are the extras. No ads, no data selling, no screen nagging you to upgrade every time you open the app.

What Soberya does

Quick log & presets

Build your own presets: name, volume, ABV, price. The app works out standard drinks, calories and cost.

Heatmap calendar

A month, a year, or the last five years. Tap a day to look back at the detail and edit it.

Real statistics

Drinks per week, the twelve-week trend, your usual hours, your hardest day, money saved.

Six mascots, ten states

A companion that reacts to the day you had — and never tells you off.

Friends & cheering

Add friends by code, send a cheer, send a message. You choose how much you share.

Plus

Your whole history

Free shows the last 3 months and logs the last 4 days. Plus opens every month, and adds export and all 42 app icons.

In the app

What that looks like on a phone

Real captures of the running app, all from one person’s two months of logging.

Log a drink in two taps

Your presets sit on the sheet with their volume, ABV and price already filled in. Tap one, adjust the count, save. The standard drinks, calories and cost are worked out for you — the total is on screen before you commit.

The quick-log sheet, with one preset stepped up to a single bottled beer.

A month, then a whole year

Green is an alcohol-free day, amber is a day you drank, grey is one you never recorded. Tap any square to see that day in full and edit it. Zoom out and five years fit on one screen.

The month calendar for August, eighteen alcohol-free days in green.
The year view: twelve month grids, forty alcohol-free days and $312 saved.

Numbers you can check

Sober days, drinks, calories and money, each against the period before it. The money screen shows its own arithmetic — your old rate, what you actually spent, the difference — so you can see where the figure came from instead of trusting it.

The statistics screen: eighteen sober days, nineteen drinks, $83 saved this month.
The money screen showing $480 old rate minus $168 actually spent, so $312 saved.

Friends see only what you switch on

Add someone by code, send a cheer. Your streak and total days are the floor; the weekly chart, the calendar colours and your badges are on by default; money, drink types and notes are off until you turn them on. What is off is never uploaded at all.

The friends list: an invite waiting, and three friends with their streaks.
A friend’s page: a 34-day streak, 120 total days, and a Cheer button.

Forty-two app icons, earned

Every companion has a base icon plus six moods, unlocked by keeping a streak going. What you unlock stays yours. Soberya Plus opens all forty-two at once, if you would rather not wait.

The app-icon picker, with earned icons in colour and locked ones greyed out.
The badge wall, seven of twenty-nine collected.

Mascots

Six companions, each with a temper of their own

Pick one when you open the app and swap whenever you like. Each has ten hand-drawn states — hello, surprise, a sip of water, dozing, cheering, needing a cheer — and reacts to the day you had. Never a telling-off.

Privacy

Private by default. Sharing is your call.

Your data lives on your device; iCloud sync is optional. A shared profile shows the minimum: streak, total days, a cheer button and messages. Want friends to see your stats or calendar? Switch them on — and off again whenever. Nobody can request access.

Free vs Plus

What you get, line by line

The free tier is a real app, not a trial. Nothing you log is ever deleted — days older than three months are simply out of view until you upgrade, and they all come back the moment you do.

Need real help?

Soberya is a tracker, not treatment. If drinking feels like it is getting away from you, a doctor or a support line can do what an app cannot.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Do I have to quit drinking to use Soberya?

No. Soberya has no bans and no judgement. You log what you actually drink, and the app shows you the money, calories and lighter days you gained.

Where is my data stored?

On your device by default. Nothing leaves it unless you deliberately share a public profile page, and even then only the sections you switch on are sent.

What counts as a standard drink?

It differs by country, so Soberya lets you set the grams of alcohol per standard drink and converts your presets accordingly.

Can my friends see everything?

Only your current streak and total alcohol-free days are public by default. Charts, calendars and money saved stay hidden until you turn them on.

What do I actually lose on the free tier?

Nothing you have logged. Free lets you fill in the last 4 days and look back 3 months. Older days are out of view, never deleted — they all come back the moment you go Plus, exactly as you left them.

What is the page at soberya.com/u/…?

A Plus feature: a page you can send to anyone, at an address you choose. It shows the same things your friends already see and nothing more — the sections you switched off are never sent to the server at all. Take it down whenever you like.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Soberya is iOS-first; we would rather ship one good app than two rushed ones.
